About This Site

The contents of this site were researched and created by West Chester University students in Spring 2018 for the Philadelphia Immigration Oral History project.
The students curated this site using their historical research as well as oral history interviews conducted with Stetson workers in the 1980s.

About The Philadelphia Immigration Project
The Philadelphia Immigration project, created by students and faculty at West Chester University, in partnership with the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History at the University of Kentucky Libraries, draws on oral history interviews and other archival materials to explore questions of Philadelphia immigrants' pasts and present, interpreting the experiences of immigrants to Philadelphia, from today and throughout the past century.
